I love to wear black, there's no secret about that. I was really excited to find this amazing cargo jacket from TJ Maxx - great find, and also lightens up the black look!

The zipper detail is perfect, and really gives an edgy feel to this piece. I also added a simple braid to my hair. Sometimes, it's nice to just braid back your bangs and go for the day.

Despite the bitter cold temperatures and lots of snow this winter, we have had a surprising amount of sunshine. I took advantage of it, and enjoyed an outdoor shoot this weekend.

I love the simple look of a denim shirt and leather jacket. I recently purchased this great faux leather jacket from BB Dakota. It's the only one that I own that is actually a color, and I have already worn it with a bunch of different outfits!

A Winter Weekend

This long weekend was full of fun, and I can't believe that it's over! Relaxation filled my time, and I wouldn't have it any other way! We made a somewhat unexpected trip to my lake house to spend a few nights. I'm used to seeing the lake full of boats and fisherman, but this trip, all I saw were ice fisherman! My fiance even decided to walk on the lake ice...something I wouldn't dare try myself!
Hopefully everyone caught up on much needed rest this weekend!

Just Another Day...

I absolutely love jackets. From denim to leather, jackets are lightweight and a great piece to throw on over a simple shirt or tee. I chose to wear this J.Crew chino jacket with a pair of leggings and boots. It was a great casual "throw on" outfit for the warm weather today. Since we have been having such crazy weather changes, I believe its always good to have a variety of coats and jackets, to grab on the go depending on the weather!
