Be Bright.

I love nail polish, this is no secret. I usually paint my nails once a week, making sure to keep up with the latest trends.

In these dreary, winter months, it's always nice to brighten up your nails, even if they are your only bright accessory.

I've added some bright colors above, so put a smile on your face and try them!

A Winter Weekend

This long weekend was full of fun, and I can't believe that it's over! Relaxation filled my time, and I wouldn't have it any other way! We made a somewhat unexpected trip to my lake house to spend a few nights. I'm used to seeing the lake full of boats and fisherman, but this trip, all I saw were ice fisherman! My fiance even decided to walk on the lake ice...something I wouldn't dare try myself!
Hopefully everyone caught up on much needed rest this weekend!

Meal: Healthy Stir-Fry

I have been making a conscious effort to exercise and eat right lately. The only problem is, I'm always so tempted by food. When I think of being hungry, I just want to cleanse my pallet with something delicious. I have found a recipe that is both satisfying and tasty!

This stir-fry is makes for a great, healthy meal.
What you'll need:

1 zucchini
1 cup uncooked rice (white or brown)
1 cup of frozen shrimp (substitute chicken or beef if you're not a seafood person.)
As much stir-fry sauce as you want!

{Cut your zucchini and add to a pan.}

 {If you want to add meat, do the same in a pan.}

{Add a bit of oil.}

{Put your rice in to cook, and steam.}

{Wash your shrimp for 3-4 minutes under cold water.}

{Add the shrimp to the pan with the zucchini.}

{Cook and stir until both are a golden color.}

{Add your rice to the plate, then the shrimp and zucchini. Add stir-fry sauce as wanted.}

{Eat and enjoy!}

Let's Read!

There's nothing like curling up with a good book. It seems as if there are so many great ways to read these days. Whether you like to read on a Kindle, Nook, iPad or a regular book-join our discussion! I'll be posting new books regularly for the Endlessly Chic Book Club.

Our first book comes from one of my favorite authors. Emily Giffin writes compelling novels that are light and captivating. If you havent already, pick up Giffin's Something Borrowed and Something Blue

Valentine Strawberries

Valentine's Day is one of my all-time favorite holidays. One of the goodies I look forward to most are simple chocolate covered strawberries (which for me have become a holiday classic!)

I had tried for years to make the perfect chocolate covered strawberries. All attempts quickly turned to disaster. I would put the chocolate in the microwave, burn it, and always end up frequenting the nearest candy store to get my fix. I'm happy to say I've come up with a solution. Below is my step by step instruction to the perfect chocolate covered strawberry.

{Start with your ingredients. I use strawberries, a pot filled with water, a cup to heat the chocolate and of course, your chocolate!}

{Set the stove to a medium heat. Fill your cup with the chocolate and put the cup in the pot.}

{Watch your chocolate melt. Stir when needed.}

{When chocolate is melted, simply dip your strawberries. Leave in chocolate for about 3 seconds, and turn the strawberry when you remove it from the chocolate.}

{Add the strawberries to a tray with tinfoil covering.}

{Eat and enjoy! Happy Valentine's Day!}

I'm back!

It seems as if it's been a lifetime since I last poured my thoughts and inspirations into this blog. I'm happy to say that after much time off I'm back, and have more to share with you than ever before. I can't wait for this next chapter in my life! Here are some current inspirations.

{This new year, I have been making the conscious decision to cut back on coffee and add more tea to my everyday diet. When grocery shopping, I buy a different kind of tea each time to see what I like. I'm currently crushing on Lipton's Blueberry & Pomegranate! Try it!}

{Everyone needs a little love! How cute are these watermelon hearts? Eating healthy is fun!}

{No matter what path you choose in life, make sure to hold on tight to your interests and hobbies! You never know when you may need them. Here's to knowledge!}

{I love the simple look of a bright top and gold jewelry. Add some color to your wardrobe during these dreary, winter months.}
