Dots

I was feeling a little polka dot action today, and was happy to find a dress that I haven't worn in a while.  Sometimes, it's amazing to just stop and stand in your closet, and pull out pieces that maybe you've only worn once and forgot about. My mom calls it "shopping in my closet!"

I try not to have too many "one hit wonders" a term I use when referring to clothing that I purchase and wear once. Honestly, I was afraid this dress would be one of those pieces, but I'm pleasantly surprised that I've found more uses for this dress than one!

Spring Forward

{Dress: H&M | Jacket: Gap | Booties: Vince Camuto (similar here)}

I (like everyone else) need spring to come fast! I decided to stay in and and add some color to my wardrobe. I recently purchased this cute little dress at H&M and am loving the versatility of it.

Looks like we should only have just a few more weeks of winter and we'll be in the clear.

What are some outfits/ways you are beating the winter blues and springing forward?

Chunky Knits

{Sweater: Forever 21, Jeans: J Brand, Boots: Sam Edelman, Watch: MK}

I am starting to get really sick of winter. Unfortunately for me, I think the cold season is going to stick around for a bit longer. I found this really cute chunky knit sweater at Forever. I have worn it more times than I thought I would. I like that it works with both blacks and browns. Versatile and contemporary!

What are some of your favorite chunky knit looks?

A Grey Day

{Sweater: Nordstrom now SALE, Skirt: Nordstrom now SALE, Ring: Catbird, Watch MK, Necklace: Francescas}

I wear black and grey more than I probably should. I find that I get much more wear out of my neutral clothes than my colorful clothes. It's just me, and I've found what works.

I encourage you to find a palette of colors that work for you. For me it's shades of black, brown, blue, grey and green.  Today, I was feeling grey- mostly to emulate the winter that we've had here.

I had been looking for the perfect faux leather skirt on a budget (that didn't look cheap) for a while, and was so happy to find this one from Nordstrom.

Give this look a try!

Beach Blonde

{Trina Turk Bathing Suit, TJ Maxx Hat }

One of my favorite things to do in Florida is visit the beach. I love the warm feel of the white sand beneath my toes, and the sparkling reflection of the water. I was so fortunate to have beautiful weather for my stay.

I usually don't wear hats at the beach, but in order to protect my face from the sun I threw on this floppy hat I found at TJ Maxx! What do you think of it?

A very nice man, David saw my Dad and I struggling to get perfect pictures at the beach. David is a professional photographer from Massachusetts, and offered to take my pictures for me! His company is called Shared Vision Photography. He did an exceptional job! Visit David's website to view all of his other beautiful pieces of work!

What do you love most about visiting the beach?

Have a great Tuesday!

Whats In My Bag?

I love reading "what's in my bag" posts, so I decided to do one myself! What's in our bags gives a glimpse of who we are. Some of us have different items we find necessities, and some of us have the same.

{Here's whats in my bag and why!}

-Louis Vuitton Odeon PM
-Louis Vuitton Insolite Wallet Blue
-iPhone 4 (to keep myself informed)
-iPhone earbuds (to listen to my beats)
-RayBan Aviators (to keep the sun out of my eyes!)
-Essie Sand Tropez (to touch up the nails)
-Trident Gum (to keep it fresh)
-Moleskine Notebook (to stay organized)
-Key (to get into the house!)
-Bobby Pins (to switch up the hairstyle)
-Pen (to write down all my ideas)
-Mac Lipsticks (to keep those lips colorful)
-Hairties (to get my hair out of my face!)
-Tweezers (to pluck those unwanted eyebrow stragglers!)

I'm Comin Home

{peeking into my shed he he}

{Vince leather jacket, William Rast hoodie, Juicy Couture leggings, David Yurman ring, Vintage rings, Low Luv ring}

Usually, when we think of "spring break" sun and warmth come to mind. Although I usually jet off to a sunny destination, this year I decided to come home to my house in Buffalo, NY, which generally means four things: snow, cold weather, amazing food and The Bills (too bad its not football season!)  I have been so busy this semester that I haven't been able to relax, but now I am getting some much needed rest!

I designed the cabled fingerless gloves above. I love them because they keep my hands warm, but fingers free to text, drive and of course show off my rings! Contact me if you would like a pair custom knit!

Its always great to be home!

Chics Crush!

{ This weeks all about color!}

1. Essie's Mint Candy Apple:
Usually when it comes to nail color, I am pretty simple. Lately I have been branching out to some very bright colors. I just discovered this Essie color, Mint Candy Apple. I love LOVE love it! If your simple with your nails, dress it up and try something bright and colorful!

2. Diane Von Furstenburg Dress:
When I first saw this dress, I fell head over heels. DVF always makes timeless pieces, but this one will go down in the books. I love the red/orange bright color, and how whimsical the silk drapes at the sleeves at waist! Bright day dresses are a must have for the closet this season! Item can be found at Shopbop.

3. Love Quotes:
I am a huge fan of Love Quotes scarves. I love how they are casual, contemporary and go with almost every outfit. I usually wear my Love Quotes with a denim jacket or day dress. I found this amazing pink pop color at Otte

Have a great weekend my friends!

Saddle Up!

{bestie love}

While Bailey was visiting, we did some sightseeing and decided to take photos along our travels. Although we did not intend to dress up as anything special, we rolled out of the house looking somewhat like Cowgirls and Indians... so saddle up!

Bailey is the original expert hair braider, so in spirit of her visit we made some crazy braid experiments with our hair. Bailey sported the Kourtney Kardashian braid, braiding both sides and pinning them up. I french braided one side of the hair, curled the other side and pinned it back!
I think these hair styles made for a unique look!

What are some of your favorite hair styles for spring?

A Day on the Town

This past weekend, I had the privilege of having my bestie Bailey visit from Phoenix. We had a ton of fun just being together. Throughout the weekend, we ate a lot of food, painted our nails numerous times, went to estate sales only to find all of the items were gone (darn ha!) and even set up Bailey a blog called Peace of Pie check it out!
 We had an amazing time together, and I miss her so much!
Here are some pictures from one of our days out on the town, and boy was the weather beautiful!

Find My iPhone... Please!!

I have been a proud iPhone owner since the day it came out in good old 2007. I was young, and yearning for the newest technology. I somehow didn't care that an (at the time) six hundred dollar phone did not have an insurance plan... oh no no no. I just wanted my iPhone... no matter what!

Now, my priorities have changed, and I am constantly thinking of the "what if." What if my phone gets stolen, what if I lose it, what if I drop it and it cracks into tiny pieces?

Well, I will tell you a little "what if" story because it can happen!
Recently, my mom lost her iPhone at a hotel. After searching and searching to find it, the phone did not turn up. I called my provider to explain to them what had happened and if there was anything I could do to find the phone. They asked me if I had set up the "find my iPhone" app feature on the phone. I said no because I didn't know about the feature. If there is something that can find your phone..... WE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT IT! I was upset that I had not been told about this feature before, and only until after the phone was gone did I even know it had existed [counterproductive]!
So... I am taking it upon myself to relay the message.

The find my iPhone feature will track your iPhone from your computer and send out a personalized message with a noise until it is found. It also helps if it has been stolen or lost to track down where it is on a map. It is a great service that everyone needs to know about!

So, how do you set it up?
Click here to begin the process.

Hopefully you won't loose your phone, but if you love your iPhone as much as I do, set this up as a precautionary measure!

Weekend Warmup

'

[H&M Tunic, Safia Black Necklace, Boutique 9 Moto Boot, Thrifted Vintage Rings, Handmade Leather Wrap Bracelet, Gorjana Bracelet]

This weekend was so warm, highs were in the 60's! It was refreshing to leave the house without a heavy coat, so I decided to take advantage of the nice weather.
 Could spring be right around the corner?
